Breathwork

Breathwork - also referred to as 'Rebirthing' because many people appear to re experience an aspect of their birth or even life in the womb during the practice - is a process of 'conscious connected breathing' for people who are looking for a gentle approach that will support their spiritual progress.

Maybe you have struggled to get in touch with other deeper dimensions of your Self. You want to feel more connected to your Source and to other significant people around you. You may have tried a variety of meditative techniques and none of them have really quite done it for you. You know there is a deeper range of experiences of your Source but you are unable to access them. You're wondering if Breathwork might help.

One reason why some approaches don't work to assist a person's spiritual progress is that they don't help a person to get truly in touch with their emotional experience in a way that is 'alive' and meaningful for that person; or they allow a person to stay in denial about some aspect of themselves that they really need to understand and accept in order to move on; or they do not challenge some of the unconscious driving beliefs in our life such as 'life is a struggle', 'people hurt me' or 'there must be something wrong with me'.

What we really need to do to release these blocks to spiritual progress is to acknowledge and accept these aspects of our self. Once we do this, we open a space in our lives where we can fully embrace ourselves. Breathwork is a very effective way of doing this.

The process of Breathwork has developed from an ancient Vedic spiritual practice originating in the Tantric tradition. It was handed from enlightened master to the advanced Brahman who himself was expected to reach enlightenment. Breathwork, in fact, was not passed on to an advanced Brahman until a point in his journey where he was able to integrate the learning and hasten on his enlightening path. This point would be reached when he had progressively developed from the densest to the subtlest dimensions and had balanced the physical, emotional and mental dimensions of experience as a first step towards Source Consciousness or self-realization.

Whilst long time meditators are able to achieve this advanced state, Breathwork, because it induces deeply altered states of consciousness, appears to more quickly aid this process of development towards integrative wholeness.

You may be wondering if it is really possible to speed up the release of emotional and mental blocks in this way. You may have tried on your own and been unable to access these deep states. One reason why our clients find Breathwork gives them a deeper experience of another dimension of themselves and an experience of Source is because our therapists are trained to create a safe and trusting environment that encourages a healing therapeutic relationship with you. They know what a healing therapeutic relationship is like because they have themselves experienced the power of Breathwork and know from personal experience how profound the changes can be when they are fully present in Source Consciousness with another.

Our Breathwork therapists are trained to:

  • Give you an experience of Source.

  • Sit with you on completion in your experience of Source.

  • Support you in accessing a stillness beyond self consciousness and mental processes.

  • Help you move in a safe way between dense physical experience and subtle experience.

  • Experience and release all the constructs that prevent the subtler dimensions from actualizing.

  • Encourage your experience of balance and consequent deep peace.

  • Monitor your breathing so as to allow you to make changes in how you experience life generally.

Our Breathwork counsellors and therapists work with you one on one over a number of sessions. They each have their own unique ways of supporting you. Some of them offer low cost and no cost options for people who feel they really need to do the work but find the ongoing cost is a barrier.
